Biomedical Diagnostics (BMD) is a French multi-national company that was formed in 1986. Since 1989 they have focussed on autoimmunity. In 2003 BMD launched the FIDIS™ System based on the Luminex® xMAP® technology. In 2004 they launched the CARIS™ system which has quickly become the standard in Immunofluorescence automation.  

FIDIS™ [Luminex®] System
Since 2000, Biomedical Diagnostics (BMD) have had an active alliance partnership with the Luminex® Corporation, developing the FIDIS™ system utilising the xMAP® technology.  Diagnostic Solutions supplies the Luminex® technology as the BMD FIDIS™.  The Luminex® [FIDIS™] has both the Luminex 2.3 version software as well as FIDIS™ Booster software. Other Luminex® assays with their own specific software are also able to be utilised, without software clashes, as long as they use Luminex® 2.3 version software. CARIS™ System
In 2004 BMD launched the CARIS™ system, a front-end automation solution for Immunofluorescence assays, ELISA methods and Luminex® panels. Learn more

The success of the CARIS™ product range allowed for the launch of the CARIS™µ system in 2006; a smaller unit utilising the same "state-of-the-art" technology. Learn more
