Luminex: Pneumo14 Panel
Luminex: xMAP Pneumo14 Immunity Panel
Diagnostic Solutions is proud to have available the first commercial multiplex assay for the identification of 14 Pneumococcal serotypes. Luminex Biosciences Group [LBG] has released a quantitative multiplex assay based on the proven Luminex® xMAP® technology. The assay is intended to provide quantitative assessment of IgG immunoglobulin following administration of the pneumococcal vaccine. The xMAP® Pneumo14: Pneumoccocal Immunity Panel is FDA approved and now available for use with Luminex IS 2.3 Software.
Features:
- Simultaneous measurement of 14 serotypes from one patient in a single well.
- Serotypes detected [Danish/American designation]
- 1, 3, 4, 8, 9N/9, 12F/12, 14, 19F/19, 23F/23, 6B/26, 7F/51, 18C/56, 19A/57, 9V/68.
- Non-specific binding is inhibited through the inclusion of cell wall polysaccharide and PS-22 to the sample diluent.
- Six standards are included to provide a quantitative IgG assay measurement.
- Low, medium and high controls are provided for each serotype to verify the run accuracy / validity.
- The standard curve covers a broad dynamic range to reduce the number of repeats.
- The standards are calibrated to industry standard reference material.
- Only a small sample size is required to yield multiple assay results.
Workflow Benefits:
- Faster Turnaround Time [TAT] compared to performing multiple in-house serotype-specific ELISA assays.
- Multiplexing reduces labour costs and improves efficiency.
- A standardised method provides high inter-lab and inter-run reproducibility.
- Assay process automated using the BMD CARIS™ automation system#.
- # Not validated by Luminex Corporation.
- Broad dynamic range reduces the need to dilute and repeat samples for a demonstrated response between pre- and post vaccine samples.
Kit configurations:
- 1 plate [96 test] or
- 10 plate kit option
- Standards and Controls provided frozen
- All other reagents stored at 2-8º C
- Millipore vaccum plates not included in the kit.
- available separately from Diagnostic Solutions.
